10th annual "Hope Fore Kids" Golf Classic
Tuesday, September 3, 2013
Proceeds from the golf outing will benefit The Salvation Army's youth programs, including camp, after-school programs and music education for disadvantaged children and teens in the Chicagoland area, as well as shelter for families in extreme crisis. In 2012, The Salvation Army's Child Care program provided over 27,000 care days to more than 2,871 children. Of those children served, 70% completed the program either up-to-date or on schedule in terms of key health and mental wellness milestones according to State of Illinois Standards. Over 15,823 students at 15 sites in the Chicago area were provided musical instruction aligned with Common Core State Standards. The Salvation Army worked together with teachers and principals at eight Chicago Public Schools to ensure students had access to arts and cultural programs. In 2012, the Evangeline Booth Lodge provided lodging and supportive services to 301 families and 1,126 individuals. Of those served, 770 (68 percent) were children. If you are unable to join us in the golf outing, you can still contribute by sending a kid to camp. Click here for more information. Silent Auction will go live for pre-bidding on August 20!
