Part time Arts Instructor is responsible for teaching classes in Visual Art, Music, Dance and Theater; based on the offerings of the Academy of the Arts for the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center. The Arts Instructor works directly with the Visual Arts, Music or Dance/Theater Managers (depending on arts discipline applied for) and with the Director of the Arts Academy in developing course syllabi and class instruction consistent with the mission of the Salvation Army. Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts, Music or Dance/Theater, or other related field is required. 2-5 years teaching experience as a teacher or arts practitioner working with children is a must.

Part time position will provide a positive first contact with the public including volunteers, donors, and beneficiaries of the Salvation Army, Coordinate and implement volunteer programs, which will include the Red Kettle (bell ringing) and Donut Day fundraising programs. Support the administrative staff and officers in the everyday business of the corps. Assist in corps and public awareness through the website. Minimum of a High School Graduate or GED Equivalent. A 2 year degree is preferred.
