Full time position to prepare and package hot and cold menu items for a central kitchen; maintain nutrition service facilities and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition. To accomplish these tasks the Central Kitchen Cook must work closely with the staff and administration of The Salvation Army Golden Diners Program. Work to provide older Americans, 60 years of age and over, with low-cost nutritionally sound meals. Promote better health among the older segment of our population through improved nutrition. Minimum two years college in Culinary Arts or Vocational Certification in a Large Scaled Food Preparation Curriculum. Must have current Food Handling and Sanitation Certificate. Previous experience in large-scale food preparation management.
