Blue Island Corps – Crossgenerations
Full-time position. Will plan the day camp program for the entire six weekly sessions. Other duties will include coordinating opening and closing times for each day, supervising all staff, and keeping active files on all staff and participants. High school diploma or GED equivalent required. At least one year’s experience in day camping required, preferably in a supervisory capacity. Must be at least 21 years old.

Full-time position. Will lead youth in their daily Bible work, crafts, musical recreation classes, and field trips. Will assist with orientation prior to the start of day camp and with the final musical program. Must be at least 15 years old and enrolled in high school or have a high school diploma. Experience working with children preferred.

Requirements: 1) two years of college in culinary arts, or a vocational certification in food preparation; 2) current Illinois Dept. of Public Health food service sanitation certificate; 3) one year food service experience.

Will provide spiritual and administrative leadership to the Corps Community Center programs, developming the relationship between the Corps and the community, with an emphasis on Christian ministry. BA in related field required, though substantial experience in community center programming may substitute for education. Spanish language skills preferred.
