Volunteer with Emergency Disaster Services for Hurricane Relief

The Salvation Army Metropolitan Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) is recruiting active and new volunteers to stand ready for deployment to assist with hurricane relief.

The following classes are scheduled for immediate training at our EDS Center (1000 Pratt Blvd in Elk Grove Village). Classes are for new and active EDS volunteers, and must be taken prior to deploying. NOTE: new volunteers must follow steps 1-3 below to get involved.

Disaster Food Service & Canteen Operations
Saturday, September 16th –  8:00 AM – 5:00 PM


STEP ONE: 

Create a profile in our National EDS Database. Your National EDS online profile allows you to provide your availability and monitor training sessions.

STEP TWO:

Once you have created a profile, you can now register for the above training classes through our National Emergency Disaster database.

STEP THREE: 

The final step in becoming a volunteer for disaster services, you must create an online profile through the local Emergency Disaster Services for the Metropolitan Division.

Your local online profile with EDS Metro allows you to fill out all the volunteer application forms and to provide your personal and emergency contact information.
