CHICAGO– Luxury mattress brand Stearns & Foster® has named The Salvation Army Metropolitan Division in Chicago as a beneficiary of its annual Gift of Sleep program, which donates $1 million in new mattresses to a select number of residential facilities throughout the United States each year. The mattress delivery truck will make separate deliveries this month totaling 500 mattresses to three Chicago-area Salvation Army facilities, including The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center, a licensed substance abuse treatment facility.

The delivery is part of the Stearns & Foster brand’s annual Gift of Sleep program, which benefits The Salvation Army by calling attention to Americans experiencing hardships and emphasizing the organization’s continued need for donations. Now in its third consecutive year, the program has donated $3 million in new mattresses to The Salvation Army residential facilities throughout the United States since its inception in 2010.
