You Give Chicago Hope For a Better Year
This holiday season you responded to our neighbors in need in a big way and together we have provided Chicago with hope for a better year.
By donating more than $12 million to The Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign you are making it possible for us to…
- continue assisting more than 200,000 first responders and disaster victims
- serve nearly 2 million meals to the hungry
- shelter more than 3,000 homeless
- provide 15,000 people with counseling
- and keep 27,000 children safe in day care
“We are very thankful to live in such a generous community,” said Lt. Col. Ralph Bukiewicz, Divisional Commander of the Chicago Metropolitan Division of The Salvation Army, “These donations are already hard at work here at The Salvation Army, enabling us to deliver shelter, food, clothing and critical assistance to those who are suffering. The red kettle campaign not only provides toys, meals and coats to our neighbors at Christmas time, it helps us meet human needs throughout the entire year ”
Thank you for your generosity in helping us to not only continue providing food, clothing and shelter but also job training for the jobless and rehabilitation services for people struggling with drug or alcohol addictions. These are the kinds of long-term support programs that people need to overcome life’s challenges and turn their lives around.
With your help, we’ll reach out to over half a million suffering men, women and Children this year.
