Treetime Sponsors Christmas Tree Donation Program to Benefit Chicago Area Families

Want to spread a little Christmas cheer to families in need during the upcoming holiday season?  Be part of a first-of-its-kind Christmas tree donation program sponsored by TreeTime Christmas that will help Chicago area families in need who would otherwise go without a Christmas tree this season.

During the month of October, families are invited to bring their gently used artificial Christmas tree to the TreeTime Christmas Creations’ showroom, 22N102 Pepper Road, Lake Barrington, or schedule a pick-up by calling 1800-SA-TRUCK or going to

The collected trees will be donated to The Salvation Army for distribution to Chicago area families in need.  In turn, those who participate will receive 15 percent off any new TreeTime artificial Christmas tree, to be redeemed by October 31, 2011.  Families who schedule a pick-up can bring their receipt to TreeTime to redeem their discount.

“More than 5,000 Chicago area families regularly visit local Salvation Army retail stores for household items to make ends meet,” said Envoy Dennis Earnhart of The Salvation Army Metropolitan Division.  “During the holiday season, families are often looking for ways to bring joy into their home, and thanks to our partnership with TreeTime Christmas Decorations, we will be able to share donated Christmas trees with those in need.

“We are excited to kick off our holiday season with the “Tree Trade-in” offer,” says Laurie Kane of TreeTime.  “We hope that it will help support The Salvation Army in all of the great work that they do and at the same time promote the sharing and re-use of Christmas trees.”

TreeTime Christmas Creations’ showroom and tree donation hours through October 31 are:  Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10:00am-6:00pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10:00am-8:00pm, and Saturday/Sunday 10:00am-5:00pm.
